FIMH 2017 is the 9th international conference on Functional Imaging and Modeling of the Heart. This biennial scientific event aims to integrate the state of the art research and novel development efforts in the fields of cardiovascular imaging, image analysis and heart modelling. The main goal is to encourage collaboration among students, junior and senior scientists working in signal and image processing, imaging, applied mathematics, biophysics, biomedical engineering, and experts in cardiology, radiology, biology and physiology.

FIMH 2017 will be held on June 11-13, 2017 in Toronto, Canada. The venue for the conference is Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Sunnybrook is an academic and research health sciences centre as well as a teaching hospital of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine.

TOPICS OF INTEREST:

We solicit original technical, pre-clinical and clinical contributions (in 8-page LNCS format) related but not limited to the following topics:

  • anatomical and functional cardiac imaging methods, and associated novel image analysis tools
  • analysis of anatomical, statistical, physical, electrophysiological, biomechanical and physiological data, and modelling of the heart
  • computer aided diagnosis, surgery, robotics and image-guided therapy
  • simulation tools and resources for cardiac modelling, as well as experimental validation studies
  • preclinical/clinical electrical mapping, biomechanical, imaging and modelling methods related to foetal, pediatric and adult heart disease.
